Public invited to the upcoming Permit Advisory Forum for marine outfalls

The next quarterly meeting of the City’s Permit Advisory Forum (PAF) on coastal water discharge will be held on Friday, 20 February 2026. The Water and Sanitation Directorate invites residents, stakeholders and interested parties to attend and participate in the discussions regarding the permit conditions governing the marine outfalls at Camps Bay, Hout Bay and Green Point.

This open, public forum provides a platform for interactive dialogue with the City on its compliance with the permit conditions of effluent discharged through three historical marine outfalls.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in person with City officials and specialist consultants  on their presentations about the latest developments, including compliance measures, environmental monitoring, and ongoing initiatives to effectively manage coastal water quality.
